Alanna turned one year old at 5:06 this morning. As an added surprise to the day she also starting walking! We’ll be celebrating at home today with the big family and friends party next week.
Merry Christmas!
Christmas morning was a lot a fun! James had a great time with his presents and is really enjoying his new Leapster. Alanna had fun opening presents but got tired very quickly. Alanna’s favorite part was the fruit snack that were left by Santa in her stocking. Later we’ll travel to Grandma and Grandpa Cooper’s for breakfast and Grandma and Grandpa VanStrien for dinner.
Rosalyn visits Santa
She didn’t exactly talk his ear off with what she wants for Christmas, just Rosalyn got to meet Santa for the first time yesterday…

First Camping Trip
Greg, Amanda, James and Alanna just finished their first camping trip together as a family in their new travel trailer. It was a lot of fun and only had a few “incidents” We went to Bass Beach Campground on Townline lake in Lakeview. Grandma and Grandpa Cooper came up on Saturday with the boat and we had hotdogs and smores over the fire. We’re looking forward to our next outing! We posted pictures in the VanStrien Photo Album
Rosalyn Cecilia VanStrien is here!
At 9:31 pm on 7/12/08 our daughter was born!! Rosalyn Cecilia VanStrien came into this world as a challenge, but as a healthy beautiful little girl weighing in at 7lbs 7oz, and 19 inches long.
Mom had a difficult labor as it was decided to induce in the morning, and after that didn’t progress and after some unfavorable fetal heart beats, a c-section as performed instead. Mom is doing well recovering, with some soreness…but the “good stuff” helps with that!
We’ll very proud and happy parents and look forward to the road ahead!
